Valentine’s day, we all have been there. We all have that special one with whom we have celebrated this day. The excitement of going on a date with that special one, getting gifts wrapped in red colour and opening them with excitement is fun. We all love that expression on the face of our loved one. Truly amazing, isn’t it?
Maurice was living in a 5 storey apartment with her mother. Every year they both became excited during the valentine week, especially her mother because her mother wanted someone to propose to Maurice during this special day. However, nobody ever came in her life. This made Maurice very sad every year. Though she was a very beautiful girl but she wasn’t able to make friends with any boy and hence no proposals. She was worried if she’d ever find the love of her life.
Every year her mother used to gift her a surprise gift so she doesn’t feel inferior. But she wanted that special one to gift her something. ‘Until when would you keep buying gifts for me?’, she said to her mother with a sad face. ‘You’d find your prince charming soon my little girl’, her mother said to her.
She often rode to the supermarket with her friend every Saturday to buy groceries for her house. Her father used to work in Army and so she was the boy and girl of the house and a helping hand to her mother. She used to help her mother in the daily work, was a helping hand with cooking and doing the usual stuff.
